Game Spotlight: Free Bet Blackjack Live
Your next bet could be on the house.
What if you could play real money Blackjack with the house’s money? Sounds impossible, right? Especially at a real money online casino. But with Free Bet Blackjack, everything’s on the table.
Free Bet Blackjack works the same way as regular Blackjack, but with a few key differences:
- If dealer busts with 22, it counts as a push
- No doubling after a split
- Only one split per hand
- Dealer always stands on 17
- If you have exactly six cards with a value of 21 or less, you win
- You have the option to place a Free Bet on double downs and splits

Free Bet: Double down for free
Just like in all online Blackjack games, the dealer checks their card to see if they have Blackjack. If the dealer doesn’t have Blackjack, you can decide to double your bet, just like other 21 card games.
But here’s where it gets interesting. If your hand totals 9, 10, or 11, you can take advantage of the Free Double option.
If you choose the Free Double, a Free Bet chip is added to your original bet. You can think of this as playing with the house’s money instead of your chip stack. If you win, you’ll score the value of the Free Bet. If you lose, you’ll only lose your original bet.
Free Split: Split pairs for free
Free Bet Blackjack also includes a Free Split option. If your two cards are a pair of equal value (except for 10s, Jacks, Queens, or Kings), you can take advantage of a Free Split.
It works the same way as a Free Bet. Your two cards are split into two separate hands. Instead of placing your own chip on the second hand, the house places a Free Bet chip. If you win the hand, the Free Bet value will be matched. If you lose the hand with the Free Bet chip, you won’t win. But you also won’t lose money on that bet since you’re playing with the house’s money.
You’ve got side bet options too
Free Bet Blackjack also includes three separate side bet options. The side bets pay out even if you don’t end up winning the hands against the dealer.
Perfect Pairs
If your first two cards are the same (like two 5s, two Queens, two Aces), you’ll win. The amount you’ll win depends on what kind of hand you’re holding:
- Perfect Pair -> Same cards with the same suit
- Colored Pair -> Same cards of different suits, but the same color
- Mixed Pair -> Same cards of the same value, but with different suits and different colors
21+3
This side bet pays out if your first two cards and the dealer’s up card make any of these 3-card poker hands:
- Suited Trips -> Three identical cards of the same suit
- Straight Flush -> Three sequential cards of the same suit
- Three of a Kind -> Three cards of the same value, but not all the same suit
- Straight -> Three sequential cards, but not all the same suit
- Flush -> Three non-sequential cards, but all the same suit
Hot 3
This side bet is similar to the 21+3 side bet, except instead of looking for poker hands, you’re looking for total values of between 19 and 21:
- Total 19 -> three cards that total 19, either suited or non-suited
- Total 20 -> Three cards that total 20, either suited or non-suited
- Total 21 Suited -> Three cards that total 21, all the same suit
- Total 21 Non-Suited -> Three cards that total 21, not all the same suit
- 7-7-7 -> Three 7s of any suit
